HOT TOPICS

A selection of workshops designed to address a variety of important themes in a relaxed and safe environment.  The workshops promote discussion surronding the themes enabling children to speak freely.  A half day includes a short presentation to the group followed by exercises, games and tasks around the subject in question.  In addition to this, a full day includes the children performing a short play based on the topic.  All options (except Transitions) can be tailored to either KS1 or KS2.  Act II is also happy to produce a workshop following this model based on a topic other than those stated.

Transitions  The potentially fraught leap from primary to secondary school is explored and myths debunked.

Internet Safety  An introduction to the myriad of wonders of the web, and how to play safe.

Inclusion  A fun look at the diversity of the people around us and how every child matters.

Healthy Living  The promotion of all aspects of a child's well-being including good diet, exercise and friendship.

Road Safety  A memorable insight into the Green Cross Code and the potential hazards of the road.

Stranger Danger  Good practice and things to avoid are explored in this new take on an old issue.
