NEWS AND EVENTS

AN UPDATE ON OUR PLANS MOVING FORWARD (01/08/2020)

We are continuing to run all of our Zoom classes for the next 3 weeks, then taking a week off (Mon 24th - Sat 29th Aug). We will then be reopening classes at the studio on TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER!!!

STUDIO REVAMP - We are busy revamping the studio and making it 'covid safe' - including a new welcome desk, fresh paint job, hand sanitiser stations and 1 way system in and out of classes. We will be sending everyone details of our additional safety measures and procedures in due course.
PARENTMAIL - If lockdown has taught us anything, it's that we need a better communications system! Many of you may be familiar with Parentmail from schools; for those of you that aren't it's a means for us to send emails/messages, an online calendar for all to access and also a system for managing payments (where everyone has a tab so members can go cashless)! There is a free app which all parents can get, to ensure they have all their Act II info at the touch of a button. We will be setting this up and going live over the next few weeks: if we do not have an email address for you (parents), we would be grateful if you could send us one. We will be contacting people if we require this info too.
PRICES - At the beginning of 2020 it became necessary for us to VAT register. This means that when we reopen in September, we will be adding VAT onto our prices. We realise this is not a welcome change (and not one that we are happy about making but unfortunately, it is unavoidable). We will send everyone a new price list when parentmail is up and running.
AWARDS NIGHT - Will be on Zoom this year and we would love as many of our members to join us as possible. We know it won't be the same as normal but we will make it as special as possible with plenty of achievements to celebrate from this year. SUNDAY 30th AUGUST, sign in from 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start.
Please note this information is accurate at time of writing and we cannot predict any changes that could occur between now and the end of August, but we will do all we can to keep our information up to date.
We realise we've thrown a lot of information at you in this post! Any questions, please feel free to send us a message. We are so excited to see you all again soon. 😃
SUMMER HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS AT ACT II - IN PERSON!
We are running a film-making workshop at the studio where participants will devise, star in and edit their own film!  After the week, they will be given a DVD of the film to keep.
The workshop will be run practising social distancing and with additional measures in place to ensure everyone is safe.
Monday 10th - Friday 14th August 2020
9am-12noon each day for secondary school aged children  Strictly 10 places available
1pm-4pm each day for KS2 primary aged children (including yr6 leavers)  Strictly 10 places available
A thorough clean will be undertaken each day between the 2 groups.
£50+VAT = £60 per child
£80+VAT = £96 for 2 siblings
Contact us via the website, email or facebook to book a place.  Half of the places have already gone so book early to avoid disappointment!  We will consider opening up the week after to run the workshops again if there is the demand for it.

We hope to announce some workshops for KS1 aged children in the next couple of days.

Committed to providing arts for everyone.
