TRINITY COLLEGE SINGING

Picture
This is a great compliment to Choir, Music Theatre and Mini Musical.  Develop your voice in hour-long sessions with a maximum of 6 people per class (or 1-2-1 lessons for grades 6-8), while working towards exams.  At Act II we believe that singers should have a good understanding of musical knowledge and so all of our singing students learn musical theory, working towards Trinity College London exams (up to grade 5) as a compliment to their singing.

Exams take place in Grantham or Spalding, depending on what days are available when we book.  Singing exams may be taken in July and December on a week day and may require students taking part of a day off school for the exam.
Theory exams may be taken in May and November, and take place on Saturdays.

Act II provides an exam accompanist.  We are very lucky that our pianist: Peter Graper, plays completely FREE OF CHARGE!  Exam fees are set by Trinity College London and Act II do not add any further cost on top of this.  Fees for singing exams currently begin at £40.00 for initial grade, with grade 8 costing £98.00.  Fees for Theory exams currently begin at £30.00 for grade 1, with grade 5 costing £41.00.

Grade 6 and above carry UCAS points: evidence of the exams as a highly regarded and recognised qualification.
