CURRICULUM PLUS

Curriculum Plus is an ideal way to augment core or foundation subjects.  Curriculum Plus activities are related to schemes of work from the National Literacy Strategy and QCA framework.  All options can be tailored to KS1 or KS2.  Act II is also happy to create additional Curriculum Plus options to compliment other subjects to meet with individual schools' needs.

History Days  A great compliment to a scheme of work.  Pupils (either KS1 or KS2) will develop their own characters and spend a day in a specific time period.  Time periods used include WWII, Tudors and Victorians, but a bespoke workshop can be written to meet with your needs.

Introduction to Shakespeare  Pupils explore the Bard's work practically, with the emphasis on performing Shakespeare's work.  Workshops focus on one of his plays of the school's choice: the most common choices being A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.

Storytelling  Taking theatre back to its bare bones and creating something from nothing.  Pupils will learn one or two traditional tales (picked by the school from our extensive list which includes Bible, folk and multi-cultural stories) and create a performance based on them.
