Does your production need a band or an orchestra?

There is nothing like the sound of live music played well. Increasingly, performing rights holders are insisting on theatre companies (both amateur and professional)  and schools using a live band or orchestra in their musical productions. This is where Act II Theatre Company can step in. For competitive rates, we can provide for you:
- A fully rehearsed live band or orchestra (with conductor) depending on the needs of your show, with all musicians at minimum Grade 5 standard.
- A full set of practice tracks, made in conjunction with your Musical Director, for rehearsal purposes, made to suit your tempos / cuts / repeats etc.
- Consultation and support for your Director and Musical Director up to and including the performance dates, plus conductor attendance at selected rehearsals.
- Band/Orchestra attendance at final and dress rehearsals (subject to wishes of your creative team).
- Over fifteen years' experience in creating pit bands/orchestras for a wide range of theatrical productions.

We offer very reasonable rates; our pool of musicians play as much for the love of music as they do financial reward. Please get in touch via our Contact Us page for further information and a quote!

TESTIMONIAL
"We were fortunate enough to have Karl and his superb band play for us during our recent production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Karl put the cast at ease immediately with his calm, professional and relaxed manner. There were 19 well-known pop songs which the band performed with gusto from their first rehearsal with the cast right through to the final show night. It was an absolute pleasure to have this talented group of musicians involved and they were an integral part in making the whole show a success. We hope to have the pleasure of working with this band on future productions. Thank you all so much."
