Hadestown: Teen Edition
By Anais Mitchell
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera tells a tale of love, power and passion. Following two intertwining love stories – the young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and the King of the underworld Hades and his lady Persephone – Hadestown takes the audience on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Act II's production promises a highly immersive production performed across 2 spaces in the South Holland Centre, putting the audience in the heart of this story.
